Remember Lot’s Wife!

What do we need to remember about Lot’s wife?ܡܘܼܕܝܼ ܕܟ̣ܪܲܟܼ ܒܘܼܬ ܒܲܟ̣ܬܹܗ ܕܠܘܿܛ؟

         i.            Lot’s wife had a righteous husband ܠܘܿܛ ܟܹܐܢܵܐ ܗܘܵܐ

       ii.            Lot’s wife left Sodom with her husband on the day Sodom was destroy

o   Genesis 19:15-16ܒܪܝܬܐ ܝܛ : 15         

     iii.            Lot’s wife disobeyed and she was struck dead at turn into a pillar of salt

o   Genesis 19:17-26            ܒܪܝܬܐ ܝܛ : 17 –26  

Why does Lord Jesus use her as an example to His church?

o   Romans 15:4ܖ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܝܗ : 4              

1)      It is a serious warning when we think the person Jesus names.

2)      It is a serious warning when we consider the context in which Jesus made the warning.

3)      It is a serious warning when we think the person who gives it.

o   Matthew 9:13ܡܬܝ ܛ : 13           

o   Matthew 9:36ܡܬܝ ܛ : 36           

4)      It is a serious warning when we think of the persons to whom it was given.

o   Luke 17:22ܠܘܩܐ ܝܙ : 22             

5)      It is a serious warning when we consider the manner in which it was given.
